DJ Console MP3 e2 Failure

After 15 years my DJ Consoles have suddenly failed to function. I use them to operate various functions of ham radio equipment that i rely on daily. I know a lot of similar operators worldwide are facing the same issue. This all happened after a MS Update in January of 26 sometime. It broke the Midi 1 code with the introduction of Midi 2, evidently.

What I would like to know is whether there are any work arounds other than un-installed 3 or 4 UPDATES which is always a tedious and unknown outcome. I’ve got the newest drivers installed which all say they are working correctly according to Device Manager. No errors are displayed anywhere. I know they are working because i get the familiar “Chime” when plugging in and unplugging.

I’m using two of these and now they are just paperweights. Any idea when MS will have this fixed? They said in February but here we are in mid March and no fix in sight.

Thanks.

John

@John M welcome to Forum.
Welcome to the forum. Do you have a backup of the MIDI file so you can copy it back in? It’s always best to make a backup and then restore it. I don’t think you’ll be able to avoid uninstalling the update, though.
