Good afternoon, I have had a Hercules mk-4 console for a long time and now when I turn it on, I can’t initialize it on the computer. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to computers with the old operating system, but I have a programmer and I have the knowledge and ability to program the flash memory directly, so could you send me the latest firmware for this console?

You can get the software from this website here.

With the xlr 200, when I install the latest version, the firmware is also included. Is that not the case with this device, because as soon as a patch is released, both are up to date? Best regards, Baumi

Release notes - HDJCSeries PC [2023.HDJS.2 - Windows 10-11] ASIO drivers According to the information, the firmware is currently in the driver. FW 127

Unfortunately, I don't know what you need and what you don't need, so you know better than I do, but FW is included.

Thank you very much for your attempts to help, but unfortunately my new version of Windows11 does not see Hercules by usb (say - device not recognised) and I cannot connect to it. Therefore, in my case, it would be easiest to get a Bin file that I will directly flash into its memory.

Have you tried performing a hardware reset and connecting it to a different USB port to see if it works?

Disconnect the controller from the USB port.

Hold down the SHIFT button.

While holding down SHIFT → plug in the USB cable.

Wait 10 seconds.

Release the button.

This may not be a guarantee, but it is worth trying. Please do the following, Restart the computer. Check in Computer Management to see if it has been recognized. If so, please format the stick once. It should display the free memory that has not been allocated. Assign a letter, e.g., NXY, and reinstall the software. However, if the device is not recognized, it may be that the device is either too old or a software update from the manufacturer is required for Windows 11. In that case, I would recommend getting a new flash drive.

"invalid device descriptor" in device menager. and, my notebook dont have a usb2 ports, only usb 3.1 My mk4  hasn't been launched for several years, so the software there is definitely old. That's why I'd like to get the Bin file to program the console's flash memory directly.

Do you know who manufactures the ubs stick? Is the code 43 28 or 10 available?

Hello Baumi,

DJ Console Mk4 (released in 2010) was released 13 years before Stream 200 XLR so the firmware file did not work the same way.

I have sent to Films a .bin file to update on an eeprom burner.

UX Team

I am also familiar with bin files and sys files for some drivers, and how to get the old ones to work, but you could install an updater that gives a warning when they become too old. Theoretically, this would be possible so that you always have information when a certain file no longer works, such as when 0x120000 appears, how you program it, and you know that we now have to update it. 0x120000 was just an example code that you could incorporate, so you would always have information when a certain file no longer works. For example, it appears as you program it, and you know that we now have to update it. The 0x12000 was just an example code that you could incorporate, so you would always have a patch ready in three weeks. Just a small suggestion for your programmers.

Just an idea on how you can keep it up to date.

May be you can say me, what resistance is a crossfader resistor? <confused> https://tech.alpsalpine.com/e/products/detail/RS45112A400G/ looking for it. but parametr...

Hello Films,

The crossfader in DJ Console Mk4 is Alps RS4511SA6002.
It is a 10k ohms resistor (-/+20%), mono, with a B taper.

If your crossfader is dead or worn out, you may

  • either take a pin-to-pin replacement fader,
  • or order a replacement unit to Hercules support.

(Hercules support may be joined on https://support.hercules.com/en/contact-en/ and the reference of this fader in Hercules support is 6000945).
