first of all i love the Hercules XLR200.
But i have some small issues or feature reqeuest if there is no such options at this time existing.

1. If i press the encoder knob to mute the sound. it happens sometimes that the pressing cause a small rotation of the knob which cause that the audiolevel will be unwanted adjusted. for example pre adjusted on 50% but by pressing the encoder knob small rotation happens and the levels is ajdusted to 51-52%. Is there a option to save/lock the audio level which are allready set up. so if i press the knob for mute/unmute the levels will not be accidently readjusted.
if there is no option it would be great if this feature can be implemented if possible.
2. in reason of point 1. i tried to lay the mute/unmute function for audio source on the action button.
For my under standing should the option: Actions->Audio Levels-> Mute Source be the correct one.
But if i try to select the source for the option. The Optical Input is not listed as source.As such im not able to use the action button to mute the Optical input source(gaming rig)
FYI: I use a Dual PC Set Up the Gaming Rig is connected via Optical Cable to XLR200.
i used the same option for XLR MIC on the action button and for the mic it works in reason mic can be choosen from the source list.
I hope my explanation is understandable. English is not my native language. So if there any questions or more informations are needed let me know.

Optical Input is not declare under windows as a input source but mix to Audience or Creator
You can use mute channe action to Mute optical in Audience or Creator mode

2. Your instruction does not work for me(if i did nothing wrong)
for the optical input if i press the encoder button it possible to mute the optical input.
i want to set the same function to actions button to prevent the unwanted adjustement like mentioned.
so i tried your instruction for -> Actions-> mute channel. What i get is the list on the right site.

FYI: lautstärke (German Language) = Volume. But i set the language in hercules stream control in English.
So maybe a bug or it comes from the windows language setting.
However, i can only chose the channels for volume of the audiencea and creator mix but see here no effects if i choose one. Also about my opinion would this mute/unumte the audience and creator mix of any source.
Im not sure if i understand this function correctly.
for me is it not understandable why the function of mute the optical input via encoder button is working
but cant be added to the action buttons.

red frame shows Optical Input called gaming pc and the encoder button which works to mute/unmute but as stated it caus sometimes unwanted adjustments of volume.
But the same function cant be set to the action button.
Maybe also a point for the devs to implent this..
How ever the action buttons have a good size and easier to press to use them as a fast mute option to prevent the unwanted adjustment via encoder knob.
regarding my reqeust. it would be great to find simple working solution to mute/unmute the optiocal source without unwanted adjustments of the volume via encoder knob.
As an idea if programmable for the dev team.
Long press of the encoder button will foce lock of the allready set it volume. long press again will realease the lock of the pre set it volume. short press of encoder button mute/unmute like it is allready.
this should be a short solution maybe :).
or optional the possibility to lay the mute/unmute function of the encoder knob for optical input also to the action buttons if possible.
