Keyboard shortcut button doesn't seem to understand Ctrl or Shift?

I'm trying to add a keyboard shortcut for a button on the Stream 100 to toggle Discord mic mute.  The shortcut is Ctrl-Shift-M .  When I try to input the shortcut into the field it does not recognize Ctrl, Alt, Shift, F Keys?

Does anyone else have this experience?  I'm trying to figure out if I have a keyboard issue or something, but I'm pretty sure those keys are working in everything else.

edit: Software 2.0.3 [01.44]   Firmware 1.40  both say no updates available.
