Hi, it seems like I can only use keyboard shortcuts which exist already, things like"CTRL+A" or such do work, but custom shortcuts like "CTRL+Ö" don't work. I wanted to bind the shortcut for taking a clip with Steelseries Moments, but every shortcut I want to use doesn't work. The one which behaves different is "CTRL+`", which interestingly opens Outlook when using the shortcut from the device, but doesn't when I do the shortcut manually.
Is it really not possible to use shortcuts on the Stream 100? That would be a bummer.

Windows might have changed that; there was already speculation that they were going to get rid of the Print Screen function for taking screenshots. It’s crazy what’s going on with Windows right now—there are so many videos on YouTube about bugs. It could be a malfunction. Since I’ve been using Linux for six months, I can only hope it’s a bug.

Could you confirm that it's still occuring on Stream Control 2.5.4 ? It's not really easy to test on our side since we don't use any german keyboard but we will try to fix it.

thanks for looking into it. On Stream Control 2.5.4 the issue still occurs. I did some more testing with a keyboard tester to see what the device actually sends.
Working:
- A–Z
- Shift + A–Z
- Ctrl+Shift + A–Z
- Ctrl+Alt + A–Z
- Delete, Insert, #
Wrong key sent for example with this keys:
,→ PrintScreen.→ Delete-→ Numpad -+→ Numpad +
So Alt+, arrives as Alt+PrintScreen and Alt+. as Alt+Delete.
German umlauts don't work at all:
- Ctrl+Ö / Alt+Ö → Ctrl+Unidentified / Alt+Unidentified
Separate issue, Shift handling during recording:
When I record Shift+1, the software stores Shift+! - holding Shift on the keyboard produces "!", so the plain "1" can't be entered. The output is then Shift+Shift+PageUp. Same with Ctrl+Shift+#, which is stored as Ctrl+Shift+' and sent as Shift+Shift+Ctrl+ArrowRight.
Both might come down to the same cause: the shortcut seems to be recorded by the character that is produced rather than by the physical key, so anything outside the US layout ends up on the wrong key or unmapped.
/e: I also tried a workaround, but it doesn't work either. In Moments I set the clip shortcut to Alt+PrintScreen. Pressing Alt+PrintScreen on the keyboard takes the clip, but when the same shortcut is sent from the device (where it's set to ALT+,), nothing happens. The keyboard tester shows why: the device sends the keys in the wrong order - PrintScreen + Alt, instead of Alt+PrintScreen which gets sent when I do it on the keyboard.
Happy to run further tests if you need specific combinations checked. 🙂
