is there a way to make the beat leds work on traktor pro 2?

If you mean "Can the beat LED work in Traktor like they do with DJUCED or VDJ?", the anwser is no.
There is a function in Traktor called "Beat Phase" that does something similar, but cannot be spread out over multiple LEDs to work like it does in DJUCED or VDJ (We've tried).
If you mean "Can the beat LED be assigned in Traktor like any other LED?", then the answer is yes.
You'll find the MIDI description table in the user manual.
