hows it going everyone...im new to the dj scene and to get started i purchased the djcontrol instinct and this is the problem im running into.

i cant preview a track loaded on either deck.

for me settings i have:

master - hercules djcontrol instinct - outputs 1-2
headphones - hercules djcontrol instinct - outputs 3-4

i have my speakers conected to the back and my headphones in the front.

im working with djuced

on the cue/mix setting i have turned all the way to the left which is the cue (per the instructions)
i have my cross fader all the way to the left so track a plays on the speakers
i have the headphones button lit for track b

nothing plays until the cross fader begins to move right in which i can hear in my headphones and speakers track b.

any ideas what could be wrong?

Normally, this should indeed work.

Let's go back a few steps if you will ?

- Are on on a PC or MAC?

- Did you install the latest drivers, as well as the latest version of DJUCED 18 (v1.0.64)?

I'm having the exact same issue on Djuced 18 1.0.64.

I can preview fine using Mixxx

As asked previously, are on on a PC or MAC (and which version)?

And the audio configuration is selected as mentionned by DJ Rolox ?

A new version of DJUCED was released yesteday (v1.0.84) you may want to try to see if the problem is still present.

So if you look at the Settings > Audio menu , do you have the following configuration?

Audio Device : Hercules DJControl Instinct (ASIO)

Master  > Output 1&2

Headphone > Output 3&4

What happen if you reverse the assignment (Master to 3/4 and Headphone to 1/2) ?

Does the headphone connector feel strange when inserting the headphone connector ?

Does it lack resistance, as if someting inside might be broken ?
