hello everybody this is my first message,
i have purchase a 2nd hand hercules 4mx dj console and when im trying to configure the audio settings in virtual dj 8 the computer gives me an error message (down in the task bar) wich says
"virtual dj-no soundcard *hercules dj console 4 mx asio failed to create asio buffers" (no sound card). it may be broken or is a problem in configuration?
the controller driver is configured in asio 14 bit, and i´ve tried to do in wdm an dosent work at all.

edit: it doesnt work in traktor neither. the mapping works correctly

1) Please confirm you have
- set the DJ Console 4-Mx in ASIO, in clicking on the ASIO button in the control panel BEFORE running VirtualDJ
- set a reasonable ASIO buffer size (between 4ms and 10ms) (ASIO is not set in 14-bit, 14-bit means you use a MIDI extended resolution for your pitch control).
And afterwards, set your DJConsole 4-Mx sound card in VirtualDJ 8.
Either with no line input
Or with line inputs
2) As you have audio issues,
a) make sure you have a solid power on the USB bus (you can secure the power supply in connecting a USB hub powered by a power adapter between the computer and the DJ control surface),
b) can you check the About tab on DJConsole 4-Mx control panel if you have the following settings
- Package: 1.HDJS.2014
- Firmware: 1.6.13.16
- Driver: 6.2.6.0
