hercules dj control jogvision headphones output suddenly not workin

hi i have a hercules jogvision controller which i love...but the heaphones output has stopped working. i have checked the phones and they are allright. if i route the heaphones, in my dj software, to my computer phones out i can hear the signal for cueing. i use virtual dj 8.2 build 4291 on windows 10.
