its me again cool

i dont mean to spam this forum but after reading a few reviews about the rmx console i have 2 more questions..

1. "the rmx lacks midi output.." what exactly does this affect?
2. "... it has 46 illuminated buttons..." are they really all back-lit? i read another review saying that not all of them are....maybe it has something to do with the software used with it? im kind of confused here undecided

i am planning on using ts3 with it by the way, since ive been using it for a while now, unless i figure out how to webcast using vdj, then ill use them both...is this possible at all? according to people on the vdj forum, the software does not support a mic...maybe theres a workaround here?

once again, i would like to thank you guys for being so helpful laughing i am looking forward to receiving my rmx sometime next week!

Hello Deejae,

1. "The RMX lacks MIDI output.."
=> A MIDI output communicates with another device, for example a groove box.
It it of no use in 2-deck mixer software as VirtualDJ or Traktor, but it may be useful in music creation software.
The reason why a reviewer may think it is lacking is because in the original DJ Console Mk1, there was a MIDI Input and Output.
Anyway, if you need a MIDI Input/Output, you can add a cheap USB to MIDI Interface as ESI MIDIMate.
http://www.esi-audio.com/products/midimate/
which is sold at € 25 by Nakas in Greece http://nireas.nakas.gr/ecomnakas/nakas2006/Default.asp?Static=75&Product=59666 .

2. "... it has 46 illuminated buttons..." are they really all back-lit?
No, only 16 push buttons on DJ Console Rmx are not illuminated.

3 - Webcasting on the Rmx with the microphone
On DJ Console Rmx, the microphone input channel is not recorded in the mix, the microphone is mixed in hardware on the output 1-2, no in the computer streaming, so if you want to webcast with either Traktor DJ Studio 3 or with VirtualDJ, you must connect DJ Console output 1-2 to the line input of your computer sound card and webcast your computer sound card line input.
