hi guys.
so my friend gave me his hercules dj console rmx because he couldnt figure out how to fix it when his laptop wouldnt recognize it.
he had it working properly for a few months and when he got a new laptop it didnt work for him, so when im trying to connect it now on my laptop it doesnt work either.
when i connect it, the console lights flash blue on and off and i get an error message saying my usb device has malfunctioned and is not recognized. yes i tried different usb ports.
any suggestions?

The first suggestion is to precise
- your operating system version (for example Windows 8.1 64-bit)
- your computer (brand, model, CPU, RAM, USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port)
- which Hercules drivers you gave installed (for example 2014_HDJS_1).
I have Windows 7 professional, and I'm on a Dell Inspiron 3542.
When I put my disc in to install the software/drivers, at one point it is waiting on me to connect my device but since it doesn't recognize it, it doesn't install properly. I get the DJ icon but it has a red X over it.

Have you tried connecting a powered USB hub (hub with a power adapter) between the computer and the DJ Console Rmx?
