Hello,

I cannot compare these speakers as I have not heard the Gigaworks T40 Series 2, but here are some comparisons:
- Findthebest
- Hardforum
- TomsHardware

The key point are
- what you want to do with the speakers (private listening at home, or monitoring, or animating small parties),
- where you want to use them (have you room or not to place them),
- whether you want to carry them.
In general, I think
- for audio quality, M-Audio Studio AV40 will be better, a £40 difference is normal for studio speakers
- for portabilty, Gigaworms should be better.
You should also compare with Hercules XPS 2.080 DJ Monitors.

@Bazza

It would also be much simpler to help you if you kept asking your questions to the same thread instead of creating a new one everytime:

Also take the time to be precise about the information you post.

Gigaworks t40 series 2 - I take it these have a built in amplifier ?

Yes. When a set of speakers has a power button and a volume knob, it means it contains an amplifier.
