How to replace the crossfader?

Hello Everyone!

Basically the title says it all... Embarrasing, but I was clumsy: accidentally dropped my 200 Mk2 and was so unlucky that the crossfader stem broke. I'd like to replace or fix either that or the complete fader. Is there some kind of service manual available?

Hello Sityi,

Welcome to the Hercules community area.

You cannot repair a fader, since shaft/taper adjustment is too thin for a manual process with no equipement, so you must replace the full cross fader.

There is no service manual on Inpulse 200 MK2 as repair companies do not repair entry-level controllers, but if you know how to use a soldering iron, it is not too difficult.
You must
- open the controller casing,
- remove the printed circuit board,
- unsolder the currently broken cross fader (soldered to the circuit board by through-hole pins) with a soldering iron,
- solder the replacement cross fader,
- reassemble the controller in the casing,
- run the calibration process,
and that's it.

If you feel OK with it, I send you the detail in the forum mailing system.

Hi UX Team,

My brother can solder, so it would be more than warmly welcome your detailed instructions.

Many-many thanks in advance!
