hey,
since version 6.5.2 djuced keeps freezing and crashes while analyzing tracks.
is there any hotfix in sight?
kind regards.
Hello Eggy,
Thanks for the feeback.
It would be good to know which file(s) is or are causing the crash.
If you have time for it, I would suggest splitting the audio library in 2 folders, analyzing separately the contents of each folder to know where is/are the folder causing the crash, and, in resplitting in 2 the folder where you get a crash, re-analyzing in a several session to find gradually which file cause the crash.
If you have no time for it, you may try with older versions of DJUCED in DJUCED archive.
Hello Eggy,
Crashes when analysing song can be caused by a song in particular.
If you have the bugsplat report window appearing (see the article here : https://www.djuced.com/kb/i-had-an-unexpected-crash-when-using-djuced-what-can-i-do/ ) , please report the bug, and then report your crash ticket number here.
So I can help the dev team to make a look on you crash.
Exactly the same thing happend to me, I had some songs on a usb stick and analyzed them to a playlist, that took ages and nothing happend, when I clicked the playlist button in the browser, everything freezes and than crashes. This happend on my pc and laptop. Now everytime i boot up, I instantly get kicked.
Could it be that your USB drive needs a firmware update because the current version might be too old, causing these issues? Have you ever updated the USB drive's firmware?
How do i do that?
Some USB drives come with their own software pre-installed. If that’s not the case, the manufacturer says it’s possible, but the USB drive could be damaged if you use the wrong software, so I advise against it. That’s because the manufacturer has included a small file on the USB drive that you can run.
hello. sorry for the late response.
these are all 320 kbps mp3 files on my harddrive.
i tried using different folders or splitting my library. still the same.
i downgraded to an older version and it seems to work just fine.
kind regards.
Perhaps that was also the reason he couldn't find some files. Because something was wrong there.
Hello Eggy,
Sorry, I did not elaborate enough my suggestion of splitting the library.
What I mean was:
1) Remove the DJUCED library file (in Windows, rename DJUCED.dB file of C:\Users\UserName\Documents\DJUCED into another name)
2) Then run DJUCED, I hope it works
3) And then, as you copy a split of your libraries in 2 (or more) separate folders, analyze one folder/ if it works analyze the second folder => DJUCED should crash when analyzing one of the folders if the bug was in one of the files.
4) Completely close DJUCED, split the folder where DJUCED crashed in 2 subfolders with half of the tracks in each subfolders, delete the DJUCED.db file if this file was created before DJUCED crash, restart DJUCED, and analyze, and find in which subfolder it crashed.
5) redo the same operating as 4th step in splitting the subfolder in 2 subsubfolders, and so on, until you find which track causes the crash.
@UX-Team Suggestion for improving your product.!!
Guild Wars 2 Repair.
Locate the “Gw2.exe” file.
Right-click on it and select “Create Shortcut”.
Name this new shortcut “Guild Wars 2 Repair”.
Right-click on the “Guild Wars 2 Repair” icon and select “Properties.”
Locate the “Target” field and add “-repair” at the end.
Then click “OK.”
Double-click on “Guild Wars 2 Repair” to start the repair process.
Once it’s finished, the game will launch.
Dear UX Team, could you also integrate a feature like this into your program?
That would make things easier for users and they wouldn’t have to search through everything. While these instructions refer to a game, you could also implement this feature in your product—or is there a reason not to?
This way, customers could use such a feature to fix the problem themselves via the EXE file, and that would save them a lot of time!!! And implementing this feature in your product would make life easier for customers. They would simply overwrite the corrupted file, and it would work again. Please consider adding such a feature.
Just because it comes from the gaming world doesn’t mean it has to be a bad idea.
MFG Baumi
hello ux team,
that fixed it!
thank you and kind regards.
✌️
Hello Eggy,
Thanks for the feedback. So did you find which track(s) was/were making the crash?
