Hi everyone, I've been trying to install the drivers for the DJ Control Steel on Ubuntu 24.04 without success. Has anyone done this before, or does anyone know the correct procedure? I couldn't find anything on the official website, and the libraries I found online haven't worked.
You can also use this command to install a program that lets you run .exe files on Linux. (sudo apt install wine) !!! This should download a package that lets you run Windows EXE files on Linux; however, some similar packages may offer a 64-bit version, while others often only support the 32-bit version, but it should definitely work on Linux. Best regards, Baumi. (The command for Linux is in parentheses.)
wine
wine64
libraries
audio support
graphics support
sometimes 32-bit packages
Hi Loro,
I am not a Linux user, and I no longer have a Steel controller, so I cannot do any test on my side..
DJ Control Steel was not USB Midi compliant, so the controls need a driver.
Someone here (in 2010) said in the following discussion he had made drivers https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=400339
The driver page is there https://slist.lilotux.net/linux/deejay/mixxx/
