Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with the HIGH EQ potentiometer on deck 1 of my controller. The control is sending an incorrect signal that continuously drives the high frequency value down to minimum.
Sometimes I can temporarily raise the value by turning the knob while applying strong pressure, but this does not work consistently and the value often jumps erratically between different levels.
I have already tried using electronic contact cleaner on the potentiometer, but the problem persists.
Could you please provide the reference or specifications of the replacement potentiometer for this component?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Is that the issue in Windows or Linux?
Hello Valizer,
The rotary potentiometers for EQ on DJC Inpulse 300 Mk1 EQ are ALPS RK09D1130C8N.
I suppose they can be ordered from Hercules tech support on https://support.hercules.com/en/contact-en/.
Nex week I will look for a pin to pin compatible alternate potentiometer.
Thanks for both your quick answers 🙂

I will contact the support to see if i can order the piece cheap and quick, I have a show soon.

I am intersted, let me know if you find out !

Sadfully it cannot be ordered from the support, they can only have the pieces the volume phader and the crossphader.
I am not so good in electronic and I don't know what to order, I would be very glad if you have the time to fin the reference of a pin to pin compatible alternate potentiometer.
Thanks a lot.
Hello Valizer,
Taiwan Alpha RD901F-40-15F-B100K can replace the ALPS RK09D1130C8N.
You may order Taiwan Alpha RD901F-40-15F-B100K on Mouser for example.
Thank you for your help.
I’m a bit confused because I received two different potentiometer references / values during troubleshooting:
- ALPS RK09D1130C8N, which seems to correspond to a B10K linear potentiometer
- Taiwan Alpha RD901F-40-15F-B100K, which is a B100K linear potentiometer
Since these are different resistance values (10kΩ vs 100kΩ), I would like to know which one I should actually use for the HIGH EQ replacement on the DJControl Inpulse 300 MK1.
Could you please confirm the correct value and compatible model before I order the replacement part?
Thank you again.
Quick update:
I dirtily replaced the faulty potentiometer with a standard B100K linear potentiometer, and everything is now working correctly without any issues.
The HIGH EQ behaves normally again and the controller is fully usable.
Thank you for the help and the references provided during troubleshooting.
Hello Valizer,
Thanks for your feedback.
RK09D1130C8N is indeed a 100K linear potentiometer.
I have sent you in the private messaging the calibration guide.
