Frozen in boot mode

When I connect the device, it gets stuck on the black startup screen, just as other users here have described. When I put it into boot mode, it also remains stuck without performing the firmware update, and it is not detected by the Hercules Stream Control software.

I have already tried the S200 Firmware Loader, but it did not work. I have also followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps, including disconnecting the device, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, restarting the computer, and reconnecting everything, but the problem still persists.

Yes, it looks good, there is one other point I forget to ask you to check
Can you do same capture as this one ?
"C:\Program Files\Hercules\HSM Series\sdk\"

Can you also confirm that the message you have when your Start Stream Control is only  " No device found" ?
You do not have other messages before?

@Oliver yes, the only message i get is no device found.

My point of view is that there is a mismatch between the drivers and the application version
To confirm that I need you to do a double check,

Even if the S200 is not detected, you can click on the top right settings icon and get access to more information

Can you do the same capture?

If it's not the same , you have 2 options:
Quit Stream Control ( right click on the icon on the task bar )
Download this drivers version
https://ts.hercules.com/download/pub/webupdate/STREAMING/STREAMCONTROL/2026_HSM_2_RC1.exe
And Install them, maybe you will ask to restart, please do it when it ask
Then relauch Stream Control

Otherwise:
- Unplug your Stream 200
- Go in Windows Add remove program -> Uninstall "HSM Series drivers"
- Go in Windows Add remove program -> Uninstall "Hercules Stream Control"

- restart your computer

- Download latest version 2.4.10 here

Plug your Stream 200

Install Stream Control 2.4.10  maybe you will ask to restart, please do it when it ask

I double-checked the versions. Stream Control shows Software 2.4.10 and HSM Series Drivers 01.53, so the application and driver versions appear to match.

I also checked Device Manager: Hercules Stream 200 XLR Control and DFU both show “This device is working properly”. When I manually start boot mode, the Hercules Stream 200 XLR BOOTLOADER also shows “This device is working properly”.

However, Stream Control still only displays “No device found” and does not offer the forced firmware update. No other error message appears.

The manual firmware installer completed firmware 2.39 and restarted the device, but it still freezes on the Stream 200 XLR Pro Audio Controller logo.

I checked the currently installed file again.

Path:
C:\Program Files\Hercules\HSM Series\sdk\hsm_api_core_x64.dll

LastWriteTime:
09/06/2026 07:06:56

File version:
1.53.0.0

So the current DLL now has the same date and version as the one you mentioned. However, Stream Control still displays “No device found”, even though Windows recognizes the Stream 200 XLR Control, DFU and Bootloader devices correctly.

The Bootloader also shows “This device is working properly”, but Stream Control still does not offer a firmware update.

yes, I already tried exactly these steps:

  • Closed Stream Control completely
  • Unplugged the Stream 200 XLR
  • Held the power button on the back
  • Reconnected the device while holding the button
  • Restarted Stream Control

The Stream 200 XLR BOOTLOADER is then detected correctly in Windows Device Manager and shows “This device is working properly”.

However, Stream Control still only shows “No device found” and does not offer the firmware update to version 2.39.

The current hsm_api_core_x64.dll is also dated 09/06/2026 and has version 1.53.0.0
