When I connect the device, it gets stuck on the black startup screen, just as other users here have described. When I put it into boot mode, it also remains stuck without performing the firmware update, and it is not detected by the Hercules Stream Control software.
I have already tried the S200 Firmware Loader, but it did not work. I have also followed all the recommended troubleshooting steps, including disconnecting the device, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, restarting the computer, and reconnecting everything, but the problem still persists.
While the device was in boot mode, I ran the S200_FW firmware update. After the installation, the device restarted, displayed the Hercules logo, and then remained stuck on the Stream 200 XLR Pro Audio Controller logo. Is there a way to run a older firmware? because lookslike no matter what i do, the device dont reset.
Hello,
Did you try this manual FW installer?
https://ts.hercules.com/download/pub/webupdate/STREAMING/STREAMCONTROL/Install_S200_FW.exe
You need to close Hercules Stream Control before running it.
Please send the result capture in case of error
Hello Oliver, yes i did. after the firmware update to 2.39 the device forces a reboot and gets frozen. when i said i installed the s200 firmware loader, i meant i installed the manual FW installer
Hello Yokrizzy,
I understand that you encounter an issue when trying to update your S200XLR Firmware.
Let's try something else as troubleshooting steps :
1 - Close Stream Control
2 - Unplug the device
2 - Put manually your device in bootmode ( press power button and plug the device)
4 - Open Stream Control
Can you let me know if it ask you to proceed to the firmware update (v2.39) ?
You should have this pop-up
Hello Theo, i did all steps. when i put the device in boot mode, the windows sound appears but stream control says no device found.even it looks like the firmware was downloaded completly, the device restart itself but still get frozen when the pro audio controler logo comes
Please open Device Manager and confirm that the Stream 200 Bootloader device is installed correctly, as shown.
If there is an error on this device and/or is is not present and installed properly, it will obviously not be possible to properly proceed with the update.
The Phat One
i followed all steps. if i connect my headphones to phones, the sound does work. But mic doesnt.
Hi,
Let us restart step by step:
1) Check Firmware is OK
- If you have the Stream 200 XLR logo displayed on your device, it means you have a valid firmware
- So no need to do other firmware updates for the moment.
2) Then check that Audio driver are correctly installed
- Go in the device manager and check that you have same device like the attached picture
- If not it's a drivers installation issue
3) Check that all files are well copied ( sometime antivirus can block some )
- Go in this folder and send a capture of all the files present like the attached picture
"C:\Program Files\Hercules\HSM Series\drivers2\x64\"
- If some are missing we will need to restart the installation, but before that we need to manually uninstall the Drivers and the Stream Control by going in Windows Add/Remove application
thx
